Abstract:

In this abstract the first results of an investigation on the rain data form Igeldo (Donostia-San Sebastian) are presented, with the objective of obtaining rainfall synthetic series that realistically represent the daily and seasonal statistics. A rainfall generator is presented based on a Markov Chain – Weibull modelling approach. The rainfall generator is a data-to-data probability model based on the rain statistics of the region. This solution will be embedded into an integrated software for the simulation of urban drainage systems that will allow the analysis of flooding scenarios and the resilience of wastewater infrastructures.
