Dr. Konstantinos N. Genikomsakis received his Diploma degree (5-year combined B.S./M.S. program) in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTh), Greece, and his Master’s degree from the interdisciplinary program of postgraduate studies in Systems Engineering and Management jointly organized by the Democritus University of Thrace (DUTh) and the University of Macedonia (UoM), Greece. He completed his Ph.D. degree in Production Engineering and Management at DUTh, with his research focusing on the implementation of tools for assessing the practicality and the actual performance of assembly lines under realistic conditions. During his academic studies, he has collaborated with industrial partners in the fields of electronics and power production. Before joining DeustoTech Energy Unit, he was a researcher and lecturer under contract at DUTh. His research interests have evolved after his Ph.D. work to include energy efficiency on buildings, energy/transportation modeling, electro-mobility, integration of electric vehicles (EVs) with energy management systems at building level, as well as wider-scale deployment of EVs at regional or national level.
